Sacred Heart/FirstBaby's1stBaby1stBaby.jpgPrevious | Home | NextThis ad in the Pensacola News Journal spotlights the tradition of care for which Sacred Heart is known. Sacred Heart’s first baby, Janice Gundersheimer (at right in the ad), was born on Sept. 7, 1948, just a few days after the hospital officially opened for service. Dr. William Dewberry delivered Janice. Janice’s first baby, Dale Sanchez Miller (standing next to her) also was born at Sacred Heart, and her daughter’s first baby, Janice Cecilia Miller (on the scales) is a Sacred Heart baby, too. All were born at the original hospital on 12th Avenue. Sacred Heart’s first triplets were born in 1938. Our first quintuplets were born in 1995. |
