Whether this is your first child or your third, each birthing experience is a unique and special moment. At Sacred Heart Women’s Hospital, you can expect to deliver your child in a comforting setting surrounded by your loved ones and support system.
Labor and Delivery Rooms
Our labor and delivery area features 16 private Labor, Delivery and Recovery rooms, which allow our patients to labor, deliver and recover in the same room throughout their stay. This means a more seamless birth experience, less anxiety for mothers and family members over moving to different rooms, and a more calming, relaxed environment.
Each of our LDR rooms is designed to provide a homelike atmosphere, with a warm traditional cherry wood bedroom suite, decorated in calm, soothing colors.
In each room, you’ll find health monitoring equipment to ensure the safety of mother and baby every step of the way, as well as a walk-in shower for the extra comfort of our new mothers. Each room also provides a color television, telephones for patients and guests, and a built in sleeper for your spouse or support person.
Postpartum Rooms
After you have recovered from giving birth, you will be moved to one of our 42 private postpartum rooms to rest and bond with your new baby.
These rooms are also decorated in peaceful colors and fabrics and feature state-of-the-art hospital beds and a rocker for soothing baby to sleep. Each room also provides color television and telephones.
