Welcome to the beautiful Gulf Coast and Pensacola, Florida!
The OB/GYN residency program at Sacred Heart Hospital has been in existence since 1964, having originated as a community-based residency program and evolving into today’s University of Florida sponsored program.
Our four-year, fully accredited program includes four residents at each level, coming from all across the United States and representing numerous medical schools. Our residents are a strong, diverse group who strive to provide distinction in patient care and academic performance.
One advantage of a program our size is that it offers close interaction between the residents and faculty, leading to more opportunity for individual instruction. Our goal is for our graduates to meet the highest standards of obstetrics and gynecology. Our program will prepare you for full scope practice and will allow you to achieve your goal of private practice or subspecialty training. With an emphasis on surgical training and simulation your experience will prepare you for the most complex obstetrical or gynecological patients. As your program director, I expect excellence and will mentor you into a patient-centered and quality-driven obstetrician and gynecologist.
The selection of your residency is a very important decision that only you can make, after appropriate research and deliberation, until you find the one that “fits.” I welcome you interest in our program and encourage your application as your pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology
