Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA)

Physician Assistant needed to join well-establishe Orthopedic Surgery group.



Sacred Heart Medical Group, the premier medical group in the Florida panhandle, is seeking a quality focused Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established Orthopedic Surgery team.



Physician Assistant works as part of the orthopedic surgical team performing a variety of clinical direct patient services including assessment, diagnosis, implementation of treatment, evaluation and monitoring the orthopedic patient management plan for patients. Physician Assistant assists Physicians with hospital rounding and serves as a surgical assistant. Physician Assistant performs under the oversight of a licensed and board certified Physician.



Serves as a patient advocate within the health care system. Is responsible for assisting with the safety, comfort, care, and treatment of patients according to established standards.  Demonstrates understanding of the philosophy and objectives, and adheres to policy and procedures of the department and organization.



II.   QUALIFICATIONS 



A.  Education:





  1. Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant program. 




B.  Experience:





  1. One year of experience in Orthopedics preferred but not mandatory for right candidate.




C.  Licensure:





  1.  Unrestricted license to practice within Florida. 



  2. Current DEA certificate without restriction.
