Department of Trauma, Acute Care, and General Surgery

Valerie Pruitt, MD
Trauma, Acute Care, & General Surgery

Dr. Valerie Pruitt received her medical degree from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. She completed her residency training in general surgery at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi and finished a two year fellowship with focus in trauma/surgical critical care at the University of Texas Healthscience Center. Dr. Pruitt served for 13 years in the United States Air Force and is currently an active member of the United States Air Force Reserve.

Mary Jane Benson, MD
Trauma, Acute Care, & General Surgery

Dr. Mary Jane Benson received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her residency training in general surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine and served as administrative chief resident.

Cristina Guerra, MD
Trauma, Acute Care, & General Surgery

Dr. Cristina Guerra received her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She completed her residency training in general surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania and completed a fellowship in trauma/critical care surgery at the University of California in San Diego.

David Kaderis, DO
Trauma, Acute Care, & General Surgery

Dr. David Kaderis received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. He completed his residency training in general surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey within John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital.

Meredith Knofsky, DO
Trauma, Acute Care, & General Surgery

Dr. Meredith Knofsky received her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her surgical residency training at the University of Florida in Jacksonville and completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas.

Eric Roberts, DO
Trauma, Acute Care, & General Surgery

Dr. Eric Roberts earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency training in general surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida.

Glenn Summers, Jr., MD
Trauma, Acute Care, & General Surgery

Dr. Glenn Summers received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in general surgery at the University of Florida Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida where he served as chief resident his final year.

Ludovic Lasquety, MD
Dr. Lasquety earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama and completed his residency training at the Alton Ochsner Foundation Hospital in Jefferson County, Louisiana.

William Shanahan, MD
Dr. Shanahan received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He received his residency training from the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda and completed his fellowship training at the Louisiana State University

Kurt Stockamp, MD
Dr. Stockamp received his medical degree and completed his residency training at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN.
