Hello, I'm Laura Kaiser, President/CEO of Sacred Heart Health System. I'd like to take a moment to briefly explain what Sacred Heart Health System is and invite you to further browse through our web site.
Since opening the area's first hospital in 1915, Sacred Heart Health System has grown into the regional leader for providing high-quality, compassionate health care to children and adults in Northwest Florida.
More than 700 primary and specialty physicians practice at Sacred Heart, a not-for-profit healthcare organization. Our main services include: Sacred Heart Medical Group, a network of primary care physicians, a 24-hour Emergency Trauma Center, a Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, and centers of excellence specializing in women's health, cardiac care, orthopedics, cancer care, and the care of children.
The hub of the Health System is a 458-bed acute care facility located in Pensacola, Florida, which includes Sacred Heart Hospital, Sacred Heart Children's Hospital and Sacred Heart Women's Hospital. In 2003 our growth in Northwest Florida continued with the opening of a 58-bed hospital in Walton County, east of Destin, Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. In addition, construction is under way on a 25-bed hospital and a medical office building in Port St. Joe, Fl.
A member of the Ascension Health system, Sacred Heart practices its mission of care to the poor in many ways, providing comfort and healing to those in need spiritually, medically or financially. Sacred Heart spends tens of millions of dollars each year to provide care to the poor and uninsured. We also reach out to the needy with community services such as our mobile health unit serving the elderly, or our clinics, which provide medical care and dental care to low-income children.
If you would like to comment on our web site or any of Sacred Heart's services, I welcome your input on our contact page.

"The associates of Sacred Heart Health System and its parent organization, Ascension Health, share a common call to action. Together, we are called to deliver: Healthcare that works, Healthcare that is safe, and Healthcare that leaves no one behind."
