Managing Life with Cancer: A Mini Series
This is a four week program designed to help patients and families learn how to emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially cope with cancer. Patients will be able to connect with other cancer patients while learning common emotions associated with a cancer diagnosis, healthy coping skills, safe exercises, sources of personal hope, and available financial resources. Lunch is provided so pre-registration is required. Please call phone 850-416-2679 to pre-register.

When? This program is held every 1st Saturday of the month at 9:30 am

Look Good...Feel Better
Look Good...Feel Better is a free program that teaches people in active cancer treatment ways to deal with the appearance-related side effects of treatment. It will be offered jointly by the American Cancer Society, the Personal Care Products Council Foundation and the National Cosmetology Association.
Where? Sacred Heart Cancer Center: 3rd Floor Conference Room on Airport Blvd.

CLIMB (Children's Lives Include Moments of Bravery)
CLIMB is a unique, free program at the Sacred Heart Cancer Center, created to provide emotional support for children who have a parent with cancer. During the group meetings, conversation and art are used to help children identify and appropriately express complex feelings related to having a parent with cancer.
When? The CLIMB program is held on Tuesday nights for six consecutive weeks.

Chemotherapy Orientation
This class provides an overview of what to expect during treatment and the various side effects associated with chemotherapy.
When? Tuesdays at 2pm and Thursdays at 10am

Nutrition Education
These free classes are open to cancer patients and their family members or care givers. The focus is to provide nutritional education to address the special needs of individuals in cancer treatment. There will also be time for you to ask questions. Led by Mary Elizabeth Halliday, RD, LD, Registered Dietitian.
When? 3rd Wednesday of every month, 2:00-3:30pm

Advance Care Planning

Advance Directive Education

These free classes are open to patients, family members, and caregivers. The focus is provide advance directive education to address the importance of planning ahead and making decisions about the health care you would want to receive. These are your decisions to make, regardless of what you choose for your health care, and the decisions are based on your personal values, preferences, and discussions with your loved ones. It will help you say, in your own words, what is the right care at the right place in the right time.

At Sacred Heart Health System, the MY PLAN (Making Your Personal Life wishes: Act Now) campaign is aiming to create exposure and awareness to Advance Care Planning.

When? 2nd Tuesday of every month, 3:30pm-4:30pm
