Pediatric Care Center: Providing Compassionate Care for All Children
Since 1978, the Pediatric Care Center, a service of The Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart, has been providing primary care and acute care services for babies and children throughout the Pensacola area.
Located in the former house of the Daughters of Charity, the newly remodeled care center is a vibrant, comforting place for parents to bring their children to receive quality, compassionate medical care.
The Care Center is staffed by Sacred Heart nurses and the physicians of the Florida State University College of Medicine through Sacred Heart’s pediatric residency program. Each year, this dedicated team provides care for more than 20,000 young patients.
The Pediatric Care Center provides children with the daytime services of a pediatric practice, including non-emergency services such as:
Diagnosis and treatment of illnesses
Follow-up care to children in need who are discharged from the Pediatric Emergency Department and Children’s Hospital.
A Place Just for Kids
Thanks to a $1.1 million renovation, the Center features 20 exam rooms and includes 20 new built-in examination tables.
Two extra special additions include a 125-gallon, five-foot long aquarium filled with colorful marine fish and an artificial reef, and a colorful, soothing meditation garden outside featuring a bronze sculpture of a child reading,
