The playroom has been specially designed with our younger patients in mind.† Age-appropriate books, games and toys are available for our patients to use in the playroom as well as at the bedside.† For the safety of our patients, we ask that children under the age of 10 be supervised by an adult.
For our youngest patients we have swings, bouncy seats, mobiles, high chairs and wagons.
For our older patients, we have a dedicated activity room with a computer, video games and a big screen TV.† There are also age appropriate board games, puzzles and books for use in the game room or at the bedside.
In addition, there are several Fun Centers that can be brought to the patientsí room featuring Nintendo Game Cubes and a Nintendo Wii.
The oncology playroom has been created for our patients with compromised immune systems.† This room is located on the oncology wing of the School-Age/Adolescent Unit.† Age-appropriate toys and games can be played with in this room or taken back to the bedside.
