The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart and University of Florida Health (UF Health) have entered into negotiations for a long-term collaboration that will expand the scope of specialized pediatric care to children across Northwest Florida and South Alabama.
Through our affiliation with UF Health, Sacred Heart is staying on the leading edge of children’s healthcare, providing:
• A fully integrated network of pediatric subspecialty care
• Critical care patient transportation, both air and ground
• Physician residency education.
Collaborating with UF Health helps The Children’s Hospital provide specialized medical care to more critically ill children with faster response times and an expanded geographic reach.
The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart is a teaching hospital, which means we provide hands-on educational training to students in the medical field. At The Children’s Hospital, you will encounter medical students in their final years of studying and who are training in patient care, as well as resident physicians who have graduated from medical school and are training in a specific area of medicine before they go on to their own practices. All students and residents are closely supervised by experienced physicians.
Our partners at the University of Florida College of Medicine are dedicated to developing exemplary physicians who practice patient-centered care, discover and advance knowledge, and are responsive to community needs.
Pediatrix Medical Group is a national medical group comprised of neonatal, maternal-fetal and pediatric medical and surgical physician subspecialists. The Children's Hospital partners with sub-specialty trained neonatologists at Pediatrix Medical Group to provide the region's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Sacred Heart Medical Group is the region's largest network of primary care physicians with locations in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay and Baldwin counties. Most insurance plans are accepted at our offices, and while patients are seen by appointment only, same-day appointments are available at many offices. Online appointment scheduling is available through our Fast Track service.
