The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart is Northwest Florida’s only facility dedicated to the medical needs of infants and children. Now, the families we serve can take comfort in the fact that the care Sacred Heart offers regionally is also backed by the most comprehensive academic health center in the Southeast – University of Florida (UF) Health, recognized among the nation’s best hospitals by US News and World Report in nine children’s medical specialties.
Through our affiliation with UF Health, Sacred Heart is staying on the leading edge of children’s healthcare, providing:
- More subspecialty services to the children of Northwest Florida
- Access to some of the most specialized pediatric programs for a wide range of complex conditions
- The development of a regional pediatric physician network from Pascagoula, MS to Apalachicola, FL, bringing subspecialty care to your local community
- Access to cutting-edge treatments and research only found in large academic health systems
Together, Sacred Heart and UF Health can provide specialized medical care to more critically ill children with faster response times and an expanded geographic reach.
The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart is a teaching hospital, which means we provide hands-on educational training to students in the medical field. At The Children’s Hospital, you will encounter medical students in their final years of studying and who are training in patient care, as well as resident physicians who have graduated from medical school and are training in a specific area of medicine before they go on to their own practices. All students and residents are closely supervised by experienced physicians.
Our partners at the University of Florida College of Medicine are dedicated to developing exemplary physicians who practice patient-centered care, discover and advance knowledge, and are responsive to community needs.
Pediatrix Medical Group is a national medical group comprised of neonatal, maternal-fetal and pediatric medical and surgical physician subspecialists. The Children's Hospital partners with sub-specialty trained neonatologists at Pediatrix Medical Group to provide the region's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Sacred Heart Medical Group is the region's largest network of primary care physicians with locations in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Bay and Baldwin counties. Most insurance plans are accepted at our offices, and while patients are seen by appointment only, same-day appointments are available at many offices. Online appointment scheduling is available through our Fast Track service.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida provides a home-away-from-home for families who must travel to Pensacola to receive critical medical treatment for their children.
