Classes for Diabetes
The Diabetes Education Program at Sacred Heart Health System offers a variety of classes for people who have been diagnosed with diabetes.
Our Classes
Our classes include:
- Diabetes Made Simple
A 10-hour course offered daytime and evenings for adults with diabetes, families and friends, with emphasis on development of self-management skills. Instructors are Certified Diabetes Educators.
- Diabetes and Pregnancy
A class offered every week for women with Type 1 Type 2 diabetes or gestational diabetes. Pre-pregnancy counseling is offered on an individual basis for those who have Type 1 diabetes. Classes are also available in Spanish.
- Flexibile Insulin Therapy (F.I.T.)
All classes are held in the Carmel Heights Building, 5225 Carmel Heights Drive, on Sacred Heart Hospital’s main campus in Pensacola.
