The spirit of caring and the spirit of giving are the cornerstones of
both Sacred Heart Health System and Sacred Heart Foundation, Inc.
Sacred Heart Foundation was established in 1984 to support and further
the
mission of Sacred Heart Health System. Our mission of care for the
sick, the poor, the young and the aged is the driving force behind Sacred
Heart's services. At Sacred Heart, each patient and each person is a
unique individual who is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of financial resources.
Sacred Heart Foundation is the private fund raising arm of the Sacred
Heart Health System, soliciting support from the philanthropic community
to support all facets of health care within the Sacred Heart system. It
coordinates the local Children's Miracle Network (CMN) efforts, which have
raised more than ten million dollars to work "miracles" for ill and injured
children.
The Foundation also manages the Patient Aid Fund for Cancer Care for both adults and
children, and supports Camp Bluebird, a three-day
traditional camp for adults who have experienced cancer.
Private support for all health services at Sacred Heart comes from
individuals, business organizations, and foundations in the forms of
cash, securities, gifts in kind, trusts, bequests, and annuities.
