Restoring Your Rhythm

Sacred Heart Health Systemís Cardiac Rehabilitation program is dedicated to helping our cardiac patients return to their normal rhythm of life as quickly and painlessly as possible.† Once patients are discharged, they are frequently referred to the Cardiac Rehabilitation, which is owned and operated by Sacred Heart Hospital.

The Center provides an eight to 12-week program of physician-prescribed, monitored exercise therapy. Our program is specially designed to work with the unique needs of patients with heart disease and heart disabilities. These include patients who have experienced:

  • Heart attacks
  • Stable angina
  • Coronary bypass surgery
  • Angioplasty and Stents
  • Heart Valve surgery
  • *certain other cardiac procedures

Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program offers quality, compassionate care. Our dedicated cardiac team will work with you and your physician to develop an individual treatment plan and educational program to help improve your physical and psychological well-being.Our Team

At Sacred Heart, you can expect to find the most highly-trained, comprehensive care team to help you get back in rhythm with life. Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Team consists of exercise physiologists, dieticians, physicians, and registered nurses who work together with your prescribing physician to make sure that your treatment plan fits your own unique needs. This open communication allows us to relay to your physician any exercise problems you may encounter to help us find the treatment plan that works best for you.

Our goal at Sacred Heart is to help our patients put the beat back in their step through supervised and monitored exercise sessions. These sessions can help you:

  • Increase your strength and endurance
  • Relieve stress and anxiety
  • Monitor your medicineís effects on your heart
  • Reduce your risk factors for heart disease through education, exercise, and risk factor modification.

At Sacred Heart, we understand that a heart problem can bring about many changes in your life that can seem overwhelming. However, through subtle and steady changes, you can become more active, eat healthier, relax, and improve your ability to handle stress. Our program will teach you how to implement these changes in your daily routine, increasing your chance of living longer, increasing your energy level, and helping you to lose weight and gain strength.
