George Dmytrenko, M.D., Ph.D., Neurologist
Medical Education Dr. Dmytrenko is board-certified in medical neurology, electrodiagnostic medicine, clinical neurophysiology and neuromuscular medicine. After completing a doctorate in anatomy at Tulane University, Dr. Dmytrenko earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in neurology at Washington University School of Medicine, as well as electromyographic training at Mayo Clinic and a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders at Washington University School of Medicine / Barnes Hospital. Dr. Dmytrenko is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the Society for Neuroscience.
Medical Experience Dr. Dmytrenko held teaching positions for seven years as research instructor in neurology at Washington University School of Medicine and assistant professor of neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is the author of published medical journal articles and abstracts about neuromuscular diseases, the neuromuscular junction and neural regeneration. Dr. Dmytrenko has been in private neurologic practice in Pensacola, Fla., since 1992 and is the medical director of the Sacred Heart Neurodiagnostics Center.
Medical Interests Dr. Dmytrenko's clinical practice includes all aspects of adult neurology. His additional training and expertise includes the diagnosis and care of adults and children with neuromuscular disorders.
