Dr. Sabeena Hubbard, a pediatrician, has recently joined the medical staff of Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, where she will serve as both a pediatric hospitalist at Children’s Hospital and as an attending physician in the pediatric emergency room.

A hospitalist is a physician who is responsible for taking care of patients while they are in the hospital in place of the patient’s primary care physician. Dr. Hubbard will treat and oversee the care of patients on the 40-bed general pediatric floor, as well as in Sacred Heart’s Pediatric Emergency Department.

Dr. Hubbard received her medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Grove, Ill. and completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at Michigan State University based at Sparrow Health System.

Before joining Sacred Heart, Dr. Hubbard served as a pediatric hospitalist at Sparrow Health System in Michigan.
