PORT ST. JOE, Fla. – Sacred Heart Medical Group has announced that Dr. Richard Brunner, a board-certified general surgeon, will be relocating his practice from Marianna so he can serve full-time in his office at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf beginning Nov. 1.
''We look forward to expanding Dr. Brunner's practice in Port St. Joe,'' Roger Hall, President, Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf, said. ''This move will improve the level of care for patients in Gulf and Franklin Counties, while also bringing more surgeries and patients to the hospital.''
Dr. Brunner joined Sacred Heart Medical Group in 2010 and has practiced as the chief surgeon at Sacred Heart since the hospital opened. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences and performed his residency training in surgery at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center in Jacksonville. He has broad experience performing general surgery using minimally invasive, laparoscopic techniques. He also is trained in thoracic, vascular, gynecologic and trauma surgery.
