Sacred Heart Health System will provide free health screenings in June at sites in Pensacola, Cantonment, Gulf Breeze and Orange Beach, Ala. The screening program targets persons who are poor, uninsured or elderly. 

Sacred Heart staff will provide heart-health screenings to measure blood pressure, blood sugar and total cholesterol and to screen for anemia. These screenings are helpful in diagnosing conditions that put people at high risk for heart attack, stroke, diabetes and other health problems. 

The schedule is as follows:
• June 3 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Westwood Homes, 4400 Westover St., Pensacola. Heart-health screening

• June 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City of Refuge Bible Center, 614 Muscogee Rd., Cantonment. (Note: Osteoporosis screening only)

• June 9 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 100 Daniel Dr., Gulf Breeze. Heart-health screening

• June 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Southern Christian Leadership Conference’s Health Awareness Festival, Hollis William Park at Haynes Street Bridge, Pensacola. Heart-health screening (non-fasting)

• June 17 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Orange Beach Senior Center, 26251 Canal Rd., Orange Beach, la. Heart-health screening

• June 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Sandy Sansing Chevrolet, 6200 Pensacola Blvd., Pensacola. (Note: osteoporosis screening only)

• June 20 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Glory to God Ministries, 730 E. Johnson Ave., Ensley. Heart-health screening

• June 30 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at The Arbors, 8810 Sonnyboy Lane, Ensley. Heart-health screening
