Sacred Heart offers a variety of educational programs and seminars throughout the year to help inform the community about the latest advances in orthopedic care as well as simple ways to take care of minor orthopedic problems at home.

Freedom from Joint Pain
Every quarter, Sacred Heart offers a joint pain seminar that focuses on conditions that affect a particular area of the body – hips, knees, shoulders, etc. Previous topics have included hip and knee replacement, back pain and vertebroplasty, and shoulder surgery.

Preparing for Joint Replacement Surgery
Every Thursday, Sacred Heart’s Regional Joint Replacement Center offers a Joint Replacement Surgery preparation class for all patients who are scheduled for joint replacement surgery. Patient’s caretakers are also highly encouraged to attend. During this seminar, patients will learn what to expect during joint replacement surgery and how to care for themselves afterward.
