Radiation Oncologists Join Sacred Heart Cancer Center
The Cancer Center at Sacred Heart Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of two Medical Center Clinic physicians who specialize in radiation oncology.
Dr. Gerald Lowrey and Dr. Rod Krentel have joined the Sacred Heart medical staff and will provide radiation therapy services at the hospital’s Cancer Center.

Dr. Lowrey is a Pensacola native and has practiced at Medical Center Clinic for 16 years. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Florida College Of Medicine and also performed his residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Florida.
Dr. Krentel has served as an assistant clinical professor of radiology at the University of South Alabama hospitals in Mobile since 1996. He also has worked as a radiation oncologist at Springhill Cancer Center in Mobile and at Baldwin County Cancer Center in Fairhope, Ala.
Dr. Krentel obtained his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine and performed his residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Kentucky.
