Leukemia and Lymphoma Patient and Family Education and Support Group
Facilitated by Blair Edgar, MSW, Sacred Heart Cancer Center Support Services
In partnership with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
The purpose of this program is to assist patients with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, their families, and friends in coping more effectively with illness. The major goals are education and emotional support.
When? The group will be held the second Monday of every month from 5pm to 6pm.

Look Good...Feel Better
Facilitated by American Cancer Society
Look Good...Feel Better is a free program that teaches people in active cancer treatment ways to deal with the appearance-related side effects of treatment. It will be offered jointly by the American Cancer Society, the Personal Care Products Council Foundation and the National Cosmetology Association.
Where? This program will be held in the Sacred Heart Cancer Center: 3rd Floor Conference Room on Airport Blvd.

This class provides an overview of what to expect during treatment and the various side effects associated with chemotherapy.
When? Tuesdays at 2pm and Thursdays at 10am

Wellness Beyond Cancer
Exercise Education Class
This class provides information about exercise during and after cancer treatment and is open to cancer survivors and patients actively in treatment. Participants will be provided with an individualized exercise program consisting of strengthening, flexibility, and balance exercises. A licensed Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist from Sacred Heart Rehabilitation will instruct patients in proper exercise techniques, posture, and body mechanics. The goal is to provide an individualized exercise program for patients in cancer recovery.
When? Every third Thursday of the month at 1pm
