Billing Process

Insurance information is obtained from you or your representative prior to or at the time of service. Sacred Heart will file claim(s) on your behalf based on the insurance information provided and benefits assigned to the hospital as part of the financial agreement you signed at the time of service. If that information was not accurate or was not provided, please contact a representative from Sacred Heartís Customer Service Center immediately at 1-866-869-9677 to provide the correct information.

Your insurance(s) should pay your claim according to your policy benefit plan. Questions concerning payments should be addressed to your insurance company. †Non-covered charges and/or cost share, including co pays or deductibles, will be billed to you if they remain outstanding after your insurance(s) pay their portion.Please contact us to request a paper copy of our Billing and Collection Policy.

Your hospital bill does not include the fees of your physician(s) or consulting physician(s). Fees for professional services rendered to you by ambulance services, radiologists, pathologists, cardiologists, anesthesiologists or neonatologists are also not included on your hospital bill. Health care practitioners who provide services in the hospital may or may not participate with the same health insurers or health maintenance organizations as the hospital.
