ABOUT SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart Health System has established itself as the most preferred hospital in Northwest Florida and the region's leader in providing high quality health care to children and adults.
Key services include a 566-bed hospital in Pensacola that includes the area's only Children's Hospital. Other key services include a Regional Heart and Vascular Institute, Stroke Center, Level II Trauma Center, a Cancer Center affiliated with M. D. Anderson Cancer Network, and a large regional network of primary care and specialty doctors stretching from Foley, Ala. to Apalachicola, Fla.
In 2003, the Health System added Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, a 76-bed community hospital in Walton County. In 2010, Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf, a 19-bed hospital, opened in Port St. Joe, Fla. Sacred Heart is part of Ascension, the nation's largest system of not-for-profit health care facilities. The Studer Family Children's Hospital at Sacred Heart is a 117-bed children's hospital that offers care in a number of sub-specialties including pediatric oncology, surgery, general medicine and intensive care. It is home to the area's only Level III neonatal intensive care unit. A PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency with an emphasis in pediatrics is available.
ABOUT THE SACRED HEART PHARMACY
The pharmacy department employs approximately over thirty clinical pharmacists. The services provided by the department include profile review, drug information, pharmacokinetics, and nutrition support, among many others
