Meet Our Residents
Jenny Chen, Pharm.D. Originally from Anaheim, California, Jenny received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern Nevada and also completed a Bachelor of Science degree in physiological science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
She feels that the pharmacy practice residency at Sacred Heart Hospital is an excellent match because it offers a varied selection of rotations, a focus on multidisciplinary care, and the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population. Additionally, she likes that the program is well-organized, yet flexible, and has highly supportive and committed preceptors.
Her main objectives during residency are to improve her clinical skills and to become a competent and independent pharmacist. She also hopes to strengthen her research skills and her ability to effectively educate patients, fellow healthcare professionals, and students. Her area of interest is infectious disease but she looks forward to rotating through as many other practice areas as possible, especially critical care and oncology. She also wants to become familiar with all aspects of health system pharmacy operation, including drug policy, administration, and distribution.
Jenny enjoys figure skating, graphic design, music, and television. She is excited about moving to a new part of the country and exploring what Pensacola has to offer.
Caitlin Brown, Pharm.D.
Caitlin a native of Tallahassee, Florida, has obtained an Art & Associates degree from Tallahassee Community College and a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has decided to complete the residency program in order to pursue her goal of becoming a well-rounded clinical pharmacist. She feels a residency program will better help to strengthen her interpersonal and communication skills with patients and team members. Currently, Caitlin is interested in pediatrics, infectious disease, neonatology, and critical care pharmacy. She feels Sacred Heart Hospital is an ideal choice for her because it offers an academic teaching environment in general pharmacy as well as pediatrics.
Caitlin is a member of American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and American Pharmacist Association (APA). She enjoys spending time with her family and being closer to home. Furthermore, she loves to travel, play soccer, go fishing, and spend time with her animals.
