State Physicians’ Society Names Dr. George Smith Physician of Year
Dr. George Smith of Pensacola The Florida Academy of Family Physicians has selected Dr. George Smith of Pensacola as this year’s Family Physician of the Year. Dr. Smith has served as medical director of Escambia Community Clinics (ECC) for the past 12 years. He will be honored at the Academy’s Recognition & Inauguration Celebration on July 29 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.

“Dr. Smith has an unwavering passion for the medically needy,” said Don Turner, administrator of the ECC board of directors. “He is a champion of the underserved in our community and a dedicated leader who is committed to providing quality care to the residents of our area.”
