Sacred Heart to Host Women's Health and Fitness Symposium Oct. 27
Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola will be host to the Ninth Annual Health Excellence Symposium on women’s health and fitness on Friday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Conference Center on Ninth Avenue.
The symposium is open to physicians, nurses, dietitians and other healthcare professionals. Speakers include Dr. Murray Freedman on hormone replacement therapy; Dr. Ziad Mamish on osteoporosis; Dr. David Gaston on cancer in women; dietitian Versilla Turner on nutrition; and social worker Jeanne Post on healthy aging. Continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be provided.
The Symposium is a collaborative effort among the Northwest Region chapter of the American Lunch Association of Florida, Inc., Sacred Heart, Baptist Healthcare, Covenant Hospice, Escambia County Health Department, Navy Hospital Pensacola, Sacred Heart Health System, Think First of Northwest Florida and West Florida Hospital.
