CMN Golf Tournament to Benefit Children's Hospital
The 7th Annual Sacred Heart Fall Invitational Golf Tournament will be held Thursday, Oct. 18 at the Solutia Golf Course in Cantonment. Sponsored by Wal-Mart and Sacred Heart Foundation, all proceeds from the event will be used to fund medical treatment for needy sick and injured children at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital.
Registration begins at 11 a.m., followed by a putting contest at 12 p.m., and tee-off at 12:30 p.m. An awards ceremony will follow at 5:30 p.m. for first, second and third place.
Registration forms can be picked up at Wal-Mart Store #1222, 8970 Pensacola Blvd., or at the Sacred Heart Foundation office. The entrance fee is $100 per individual or $400 per four-man team and includes greens fee, cart, range balls, goodie bags, and refreshments. Last year’s event raised over $13,000 for Children’s Hospital, with a total of $90,000 raised over the past six years.
Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital is Northwest Florida’s only pediatric hospital serving the healthcare needs of sick and injured children and infants, regardless of their ability to pay. It provides a range of children’s services in partnership with Nemours Children’s Clinic, which provides many pediatric specialists to the region.
