Sacred Heart Health System will provide free health screenings in February at sites in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties and Gulf Shores, Ala. The screening program targets persons who are poor, uninsured, or elderly.
At most locations, Sacred Heart staff will provide screenings to measure blood pressure, blood sugar, total cholesterol and blood count. These screenings are helpful in diagnosing conditions that put people at high risk for heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and other health problems. The schedule is as follows:
. Feb. 6 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Westley Scott Place, 3300 W. Scott St., Pensacola. Blood screening
. Feb. 7 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Alternative Health Food Store, 5533 Hwy. 90, Milton. Blood screening.
. Feb. 8 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Cobb Center, 601 E. Mallory St., Pensacola. Blood screening
. Feb. 12 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Billory Baptist Church, Hwy. 87, 8162 Stillwater Cove, Holley-Navarre. Blood screening
. Feb. 13 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Beulah Senior Center, 7425 Woodside Dr., Pensacola. Blood screening
. Feb. 14 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 Van Pelt Lane, Pensacola. Blood screening
. Feb. 20 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Milestone Aquatics Club, 35 New Market St., Cantonment. Blood screening
. Feb. 21 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 303 Rocky Ave., Cantonment. Blood screening.
. Feb. 26 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at The Christian Service Center at First Presbyterian Church, 309 E. 21st St., Gulf Shores, Ala. Blood screening
. Feb. 27 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 6457 Park Ave., Milton. Blood screening
. Feb. 28 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Felix Miga Senior Center, 904 N. 57th St., Pensacola. Blood screening
