Dr. John M. Bray and Dr. Frank V. Messina, both with Pensacola Lung Group, have successfully passed the exam to become recertified in critical care medicine.
This recertification is good for 10 years.
They gained recertification through the American Board of Internal Medicine, a non-profit, independent evaluation organization with a reputation for excellence for more than 70 years. The exam takes one day to complete and those who successfully pass it prove they have the clinical judgment, skills and attitudes essential for the delivery of excellent patient care.
Both Dr. Bray and Dr. Messina also are board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonology. They are part of the five-physician practice of The Pensacola Lung Group, which was formed in 1987 and utilizes Sacred Heart Hospital exclusively for inpatient care of their patients. The group's areas of specialty include pulmonary medicine, critical care, and sleep medicine.
