Sacred Heart Hospital's SeniorSpirit! program will present a free seminar on seniors and sleep disorders on Thursday, April 2 from 12 - 1 p.m. in the Rehabilitation Center at Sacred Heart Medical Park in Pace.
The seminar will presented by Dr. Michael Rinaldi, a board-certified physician specializing in the care of the ears, nose, and throat (ENT.) The talk will discuss the signs and symptoms of common sleep disorders, including sleep apnea and snoring, as well as treatment options.
As we age, our sleep patterns may change, making it more difficult to get a good night's sleep. According to the National Sleep Foundation, middle aged and elderly people experience at least four types of sleep disorders more frequently than younger people, including sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, periodic limb movement disorder, and advanced sleep phase syndrome.
Registration is required and seating is limited. To register, call (850) 416-1620 or 1-877-416-1620.
