Michelle J. Brandhorst, M.D., a board certified family medicine physician, has joined the Sacred Heart Medical Group at its Davis Highway office in Pensacola.
Dr. Brandhorst holds a master's degree in computer science from DePaul University in Chicago and obtained her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. She completed her family medicine residency training at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Ill, where she served as chief resident in 1999-2000. In 2006 she earned an additional board certification in hospice and palliative care medicine.
Dr. Brandhorst has practiced medicine in Pensacola for eight years and is Vice President of the Escambia County Medical Society. She has served as a branch medical director for a local hospice and is a clinical instructor with the Florida State University College of Medicine. Starting Jan. 1, 2009, she will join the Sacred Heart practice of Dr. William Belk and Dr. H. David Brannon at 4501 N. Davis Highway, Pensacola.
