Sacred Heart Hospital's Senior Service's program will present a free seminar on restless legs syndrome on Thursday, June 18 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rehabilitation Center at The Club in Gulf Breeze.
The seminar will be presented by presented by Dr. Lawrence King, III, a neurologist with Sacred Heart Medical Group. The talk will teach attendees the signs and symptoms of restless leg syndrome as well as treatment options.
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a sleep disorder in which a person experiences unpleasant sensations in the legs described as creeping, crawling, tingling, pulling or pain. The feelings can occur in one or both legs, often in the calf area, but they can also be felt anywhere from the thigh to the ankle, or even the arms. These sensations are strongest when the person with RLS lies down or sits for prolonged periods of time and are often get worse at night.

Located at The Club at 1230 Crane Cove Blvd. in Gulf Breeze, Sacred Heart Rehabilitation focuses on patient education and provides treatments which help individuals to strive towards improving and maintaining their own health.
