Several nurses recently were honored at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, the Haven of Our Lady of Peace in Pensacola and Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast in Miramar Beach. Each year, fellow employees, physicians and patients submit recommendations for nurses, based on their commitment to criteria such as leadership, community involvement and educational development. This year's winners are:
Linda Womack, RN, of Sacred Heart Women's Hospital's Seton Hall, the first recipient of Sacred Heart's Florence Nightingale Award for a nurse who best exemplifies Florence Nightingale's attributes of devoted service and compassion
Tracy Ward, RN, of the interventional radiology department at Sacred Heart Hospital-Pensacola, Nurse Excellence Award for registered nurses
Patrice Crowe, RN, of the operating room at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, Nurse Excellence Award for registered nurses
Wynema Gayman, LPN, of the telemetry department, Sacred Heart Hospital-Pensacola, Nurse Excellence Award for licensed practical nurses
Angie Lee, RN, of perioperative services, Sacred Heart Hospital-Pensacola, Nurse Excellence Award for nurse managers
Connie Monroe, RN, Nurse Excellence Award for registered nurses, Haven of Our Lady of Peace, Pensacola

Robin Sapp, RN, of Sacred Heart's pediatric intensive care unit at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital in Pensacola, winner of the annual Gulf Coast Wings of Hope Award for pediatric nursing
