Sacred Heart Health System will provide free health screenings in December 2009 at sites in Pensacola, Beulah, Century and Orange Beach, Ala. These screenings are designed for the poor, elderly and uninsured.
Sacred Heart staff will provide heart-health screenings to measure blood pressure, blood sugar and total cholesterol and to screen for anemia. These screenings are helpful in diagnosing conditions that put people at high risk for heart attack, stroke, diabetes and other health problems.
Sacred Heart's Mission in Motion staff will provide screenings for adults at the following locations:
. Dec. 2, 2009, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Beulah Senior Center, 7425 Woodside Dr. in Beulah. Heart-health screening.
. Dec. 5, 2009, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Deliverance Tabernacle Christian Center, 1780 W. Detroit Ave. in Pensacola. Heart-health screening.
. Dec. 8, 2009, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Loaves & Fishes, 257 E. Lee St. in Pensacola. Heart-health screening.
. Dec. 10, 2009, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Century Council on Aging, 6025 Industrial Blvd. in Century. Heart-health screening.
. Dec. 11, 2009, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Gibson Headstart, 710 N. "C" St. in Pensacola. Heart-health screening.
. Dec. 15, 2009, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Orange Beach Senior Center, 26251 Canal Rd. in Orange Beach, Ala. Heart-health screening.
Mission in Motion is a community service provided by Sacred Heart Health System in Pensacola.
