Sacred Heart Health System will present "An Evening with the Expert: Back Pain and Osteoporosis" in Pensacola on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Greenhut Auditorium on Sacred Heart's Ninth Avenue campus.

The night will feature a free catered dinner and a presentation on back pain and osteoporosis by Dr. Christopher Bosarge, a board-certified interventional radiologist at Sacred Heart Hospital with Coastal Vascular and Interventional.

The seminar will focus on compression fractures in the vertebrae of the back that can be caused by either trauma or osteoporosis. The resulting fractures can cause significant back pain. Dr. Bosarge will also go over treatment options, particularly kyphoplasty, a minimally invasive spinal surgery used to strengthen the bones in spine and reduce pain. He will also be on hand to answer questions before and after the program.
