Dr. Lawrence "Lance" King, a general neurologist who specializes in treatment of headaches as well as muscle and nerve disorders, has joined the team of neurologists with Sacred Heart Medical Group.
Dr. King received his medical degree from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine and then performed his residency training in neurology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
He recently completed fellowship training at UAB with specialized training in diagnosis and treatment of muscle and nerve disorders including neuropathy, myopathy, muscular dystrophy, Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS), myasthenia gravis and Guillain-Barre syndrome. He has special interest in general neurology and treatment of migraine headaches.
Dr. King joins the practice of Dr. Rodney Soto, a vascular neurology who specializes in the care of stroke patients, and Dr. Terry Neill, who has specialized training in stroke and all aspects of intensive care neurology, including cerebral hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury.
"The addition of Dr. King gives our group added expertise so we can diagnose and treat the broad spectrum of neurological disorders and injuries," said Dr. Soto.
Dr. King will practice at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
