Sacred Heart Medical Park at Airport Boulevard
Sacred Heart Medical Park on Airport Boulevard in Pensacola provides outpatient diagnostic services and physicians’ offices in a single convenient location outside the hospital setting.
Sacred Heart Medical Park provides advanced medical technology, including lab services, MRI and the latest in high speed CT imaging. By the summer of 2005, the medical park is expected to add a retail pharmacy, pain management services and an outpatient wound care center offering hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
The Medical Park on Airport Boulevard is a four-story building with 87,000 square feet of office space under construction on the northern edge of Sacred Heart’s Pensacola campus near Airport Boulevard and College Parkway. Convenient parking is provided with 450 parking spaces.
The facility includes an outpatient diagnostic center open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. It offers the following technology:
- A new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) unit with enhanced capabilities for breast imaging. A second MRI with an open design will be added by June.
- Nuclear medicine imaging
- Digital x-ray technology that allows x-rays to be completed in half the time with less radiation exposure than conventional x-rays.
- Two new ultrasound units
- Electrocardiography (EKG) and digital holter monitoring
- Lab services
- High speed CT imaging technology, offering new applications for diagnosing diseases of the heart, blood vessels, and lungs, and capable of acquiring 16 slices simultaneously. Each slice creates a detailed anatomical image at the precise location of the slice — revealing images of bones, soft tissue, the brain, organs, and blood vessels.
The second, third, and fourth floors of the facility will house physicians’ offices, including internal medicine specialists, four family practice physicians and two endocrinologists, all with Sacred Heart Medical Group.
The eight internal medicine physicians with Sacred Heart Medical Group who have relocated their offices to the new Medical Park are: Dr. Ferdinand Bumagat, Dr. Steven Claus, Dr. Matthew Daniels, Dr. Jung Gorton, Dr. Faria Khan, Dr. Jolita Klementaviciene, Dr. Amos Prevatt, and Dr. John Retzloff.
