Pediatric Care Center Has Moved to Escambia Community Clinics
Access to pediatric medical and dental care has become more convenient for low-income families beginning as of July 3, 2017, thanks to a collaboration between Escambia Community Clinics, Inc. (ECC), The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart, University of Florida Health and the Florida Department of Health – Escambia County.
Sacred Heart’s Pediatric Care Center has moved to 1295 W. Fairfield Drive, Pensacola, and become ECC at Fairfield, a new satellite site of the community health center, located within the Florida Department of Health – Escambia main service center. At the new location, patients will benefit from improved convenience and easier access to other healthcare services, such as onsite pediatric dental care, as well as food-and-nutrition assistance available within the health department building.
Sacred Heart’s Pediatric Care Center physicians have moved to the new ECC site, with the exception of adolescent medicine physician Dr. James Burns and pediatric nephrologist Dr. Edward Kohaut, who will remain at their current address, 1657 Trinity Drive on the Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola campus.
The Pediatric Care Center has been staffed by resident and attending physicians of Sacred Heart’s pediatric residency program, which is affiliated with the department of pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine. These physicians have relocated to the new ECC at Fairfield location.
Services provided at Sacred Heart’s Pediatric Care Center are being provided at the new ECC at Fairfield location. These include non-emergency services such as well-baby checkups, immunizations, routine physicals, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and follow-up care to children in need who are discharged from The Children’s Hospital.
