Sacred Heart to Provide Free Health Screenings in September to Poor, Uninsured
Sacred Heart Health System will provide free heart-health screenings for adults on Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Fricker Center. The center is located at 900 N. “F” St. in Pensacola.
Heart-health screenings will measure blood pressure, blood sugar and total cholesterol, and can detect anemia. The screenings are helpful in diagnosing conditions that put people at high risk for heart attack, stroke, diabetes and other health problems.
In addition, during September, Sacred Heart will be providing several free hearing and vision screenings for students enrolled in Head Start programs at schools in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Screenings for students will be held at the schools.
