PENSACOLA, Fla. — Nurse practitioner Donna Williams has joined Sacred Heart Medical Group and is accepting new patients at Sacred Heart’s Pediatric Specialists -- Trinity Drive office, located on the Sacred Heart Ninth Avenue campus at 1657 Trinity Dr. in Pensacola.
Williams will practice under Dr. C. Gerry Henderson, a pediatric urologist who has joined the faculty of University of Florida College of Medicine and serves full-time at The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart. Williams graduated with her master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama, and she is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner. Williams has five years of experience as a nurse practitioner in pediatric urology, developing treatment plans, prescribing medication dosages, assisting in surgery and diagnosing and treating urological issues.
Williams has also served as a nurse practitioner in the Pediatric Emergency Room of The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart, as well as a registered nurse and a unit coordinator of The Children’s Hospital’s infant-toddler unit.
Williams’ arrival coincides with Sacred Heart’s new affiliation with University of Florida Health to provide an expanded range of specialized pediatric care. The University of Florida College of Medicine has hired nine pediatric specialists since January, and Sacred Heart Medical Group has hired four specialists since April.
