PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Dr. Jason Foland of The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart has been credentialed as a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) through the American Association for Physician Leadership.
Dr. Foland serves as medical director of the pediatric intensive care unit at The Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart, caring for the most critically ill and injured children in Northwest Florida’s only children’s hospital. He also serves as chair for The Children’s Hospital’s department of pediatrics, medical director of pediatrics for Sacred Heart Medical Group and chair of the Children’s Clinical Advisory Committee.
“My goal is to ensure that children across the Gulf Coast have access to the best possible healthcare,” said Foland. “Obtaining this certification helps improve not only the medical care that I provide, but also my ability to lead others in our quest to deliver care that is safe, cost-effective and of the highest quality possible.”
CPE designation indicates that a physician has achieved superior levels of professional excellence and management education, while also demonstrating effective health care industry knowledge and leadership skills.
Dr. Foland performed his fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Emory University in Atlanta. He also received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
